Odisha: Ganjam declared Child marriage free district

Berhampur:  The Collector cum District Magistrate of Ganjam district in Odisha in an workplace order on Monday declared the district as Child marriage free district.
It is to be famous that the Nirbhaya Kadhi Yojana ran in Ganjam district which goals at checking little one marriages. Following this scheme 45 little one marriage in 2019, 228 in 2020 and 201 little one marriages in 2021 might be stopped.
After duly verified by the respective Block Development Officers, Tahsildars, Executive Officersm NAC and Child Marriage Prohibition Officers which have been beneficial by the GP/ Ward/ Village stage Task Force Committees, the Administration of Ganjam hereby declared Ganjam district as Child Marriage Free District (3309 No’s Child Marriage Free villages, 280 little one marriage free ward below ULB and 503 Child Marriage Free Gram Panchayat, mentioned the order.
