Odisha Congress activist clothes like Modi, asks folks whether or not gas costs have come down

BHUBANESWAR: A Congress activist in Odisha on Monday resorted to a novel manner of protesting towards gas value rise by dressing like Prime Minister Narendra Modi and going round on a bullock cart asking folks whether or not petrol costs have come down or not.

The protest was witnessed in Umerkote city in Nabarangpur district through the Congress’s six-hour state-wide bandh towards gas value rise.

Loudspeakers within the Congress rally blared the recorded query from an previous speech of Modi and the person with white hair and beard enacted it by lip-syncing together with hand gestures.

This distinctive manner of protest amused residents of locations by means of which the rally traversed.

The district witnessed an entire bandh as a lot of Congress staff led by former parliamentarian Pradip Majhi blocked roads.

All retailers, colleges and schools had been shut and autos remained off the roads within the district.
