Noted Odia ornithologist and Sanakhemundi royal scion Uday Narayan Dev passes away at 86

BHUBANESWAR: Eminent ornithologist, former MLA and Sanakhemundi royal scion Uday Narayan Dev handed away following a coronary heart assault on Wednesday. He was 86 and is survived by his spouse and son. Dev complained of coronary heart ache on Wednesday night time and was rushed to SUM Hospital. He handed away half-hour after being admitted to the hospital.

On January 21, Dev had launched his most exhaustive guide on birds ‘Vihanga Samhita’ within the Capital metropolis of Bhubaneswar. The guide was the results of his 45 years of in depth analysis as part of his undertaking that he known as ‘Orientalisation of Oriental Ornithology’.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik condoled his loss of life. “I am saddened to learn of the death of Uday Narayan Dev, a former MLA from Mohana constituency. I extend my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and wish them well,” he tweeted.
