Government has issued new guidelines for organizing Durga Puja and Dussehra in Madhya Pradesh

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has said that there will be no restriction of 6 feet height on the Durga idols to be installed during the Durga festival, for this the maximum size of the pandals will be 30 times 45 feet.

Apart from this, no moving ceremony will be allowed and maximum 10 people of the organizing committee will be able to immerse the Durga idols. Also, garbage will not be allowed on Durga Utsav.

On the Dussehra festival, Ramlila and Ravana will be burnt, but it will be completely mandatory to apply masks and observe social distancing at all events. Such tableaux will not be made, in which social distancing is violated in any way.

Chief Minister Chouhan directed that corona infection can spread more during the upcoming festivals and winter, so make advance planning for it. The state’s health infrastructure and health facilities should also be expanded, along with ensuring complete observance of precautions like masking, social distancing etc.
