Mediation coaching workshop for legal professionals of three districts

ROURKELA: A 40-hour-long mediation coaching workshop for advocates of three western Odisha districts kicked-off on the premises of the Rourkela Municipal Corporation (RMC) workplace right here on Saturday. Organised by Odisha State Legal Services Authority (OSLSA), the workshop goals to coach advocates on different dispute redressal mechanism.

The occasion was inaugurated by Justice S Talapatra of Orissa High Court (HC) who can be the chief chairman of OSLSA and chairman of the mediation monitoring committee. Speaking on the workshop, he highlighted the significance of the mediation coaching programme and mentioned the roles and duties of a really perfect mediator.

In her tackle, member of mediation monitoring committee Justice S Ratho described mediation as a preferred means of dispute decision, particularly matrimonial disputes. Orissa HC decide Justice KR Mohapatra highlighted the pivotal position of mediation in different dispute decision mechanism and effectiveness of pre-litigation mediation in industrial disputes. Justice MS Sahoo emphasised on the necessity for mutual settlements.

Advocates of Madras High Court and grasp trainers of mediation and conciliation challenge committee of the Supreme Court R Rathna Thara and S Padma will impart coaching to the advocates on the workshop which is able to finish on April 5. As many as 40 advocates of Sambalpur, Sundargarh and Jharsuguda are taking part within the workshop.
