BHUBANESWAR: The Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha police on Wednesday arrested an individual on prices of possessing an elephant tusk in Angul.
Acting on a tip-off, the STF officers with the assistance of forest personnel arrested Sudar Naik and seized an elephant tusk from him in the course of the raid at Antulia village inside Angul forest division.
The accused couldn’t produce any paperwork supporting the possession of wildlife gadgets. He was remanded to judicial custody beneath sections 379/411 of Indian Penal Code and section-51 of Wildlife Protection Act.
