Mamita Meher homicide case: ‘Only Govinda, driver concerned’, says Odisha authorities

BHUBANESWAR: The State authorities on Monday maintained that solely Govinda Sahu and his driver Radheshyam Chandi had been concerned within the Mamita Meher homicide case.

In a written reply to a query from Bishnu Charan Sethi (BJP), Minister of State for Home Tushar Kanti Behera mentioned that police has already filed chargesheet towards the 2 accused within the case. Both Sahu and Chandi had been lodged in Kantabanji jail in Balangir district because the case was pending within the courtroom, he added.

The Minister mentioned that the police didn’t discover any proof of involvement of another individual within the case throughout the investigation. Behera additionally mentioned that the Orissa High Court has granted conditional bail to Sahu for 2 weeks after he filed a petition citing that his spouse and son had been extraordinarily sick and he needed to admit them in hospital.
