THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Milma milk value is about to extend by Rs 6 for a litre from December 1. The Kerala Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (KCMMF), recognized by its model identify Milma, is prone to convene on Friday to implement the value hike after getting the ultimate approval from the federal government.
Earlier the dairy improvement minister J Chinchu Rani and Milma chairperson KS Mani met chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan to debate the value hike.
A gathering of regional cooperative union representatives had determined to push for a hike in milk costs. A committee appointed by Milma to review the value hike really useful a rise of Rs 8.57 per litre.
“We are of the view that an appropriate increase in milk price is inevitable to support the dairy farmers who have sustained the sector by ensuring a remunerative price matching their efforts,” mentioned Milma Chairman Ok S Mani.
