Kannur horror: One-year-old woman hospitalised after stepdad thrashes her in a match of rage

KANNUR: Police on Sunday arrested the stepfather and mom for brutally thrashing their one-year-old woman. According to the police, 39-year-old Puthenveettil Ratheesh and Chengom Vittayarh Ramya (24) have been taken into custody below the Juvenile Justice Act.
Ramya has been booked as she failed to guard her daughter from being overwhelmed up by her husband. The little one suffered extreme accidents within the incident that happened on Saturday at 8 PM, mentioned an officer at Kelakam police station in Kannur. It is claimed that, Ratheesh acquired offended with the woman as she urinated inside the home and in a match of rage beat her up with a bit of firewood.
The incident got here to gentle when Ramya’s dad and mom took the woman to the federal government hospital in Perabur. When the hospital authorities came upon that the woman was injured on her face and head because of the beatings, they instantly reported to the closest police station.
The woman was later shifted to Government Medical College hospital in Kannur the place her situation is said to be secure.
Kerala State Human Rights Commission chairman KV Manoj Kumar has ordered an in depth investigation into the incident.
