The Jharkhand Legislative Assembly has again issued a notice to BJP Legislature Party leader Babulal Marandi on the complaint of a JMM legislator asking why action should not be taken against him under relevant sections of the defection law.

Jharkhand Assembly Speaker Ravindra Nath Mahato, taking automatic cognizance under the defection law, first started proceedings against BJP Legislature Party leader Babulal Marandi. But on Thursday, the proceedings of the Speaker in this case were adjourned for the present time by the High Court. After this, on the basis of the application of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha MLA Bhushan Tirkey on December 16, the Speaker once again gave notice to Marandi and asked him to present his case in this matter till January 21.

Babulal Marandi said about the new notice received by the Jharkhand Assembly Speaker that in fact, it seems that the new government has been pressurized by the state government by pressure from the High Court’s order to adjourn the previous proceedings of the Speaker. Sent

He said that after the assembly elections held in December last year, his party Jharkhand Vikas Morcha was completely merged with the BJP and it was recognized by the Election Commission. For this reason, in the Rajya Sabha elections held in the state this year, he was allowed by the Election Commission to vote as a BJP MLA.

Marandi said that the Election Commission has the right to take any decision regarding the existence of a party. Only after this he was elected the leader of the BJP Legislature Party. But don’t know why the Speaker is trying to disrupt it under pressure from someone? It is clear that the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly is under pressure from the State Government and is taking such action at the behest of him.
