KASARAGOD: The LDF authorities rehabilitated the wives of three CPM supporters, accused of murdering Youth Congress employees Kripesh and Sarath Lal PK, by providing them momentary jobs as sweepers within the District Hospital.

The appointment has created an uproar within the district with the Youth Congress activists taking out a protest march to the District Hospital. Congress MLA and deputy chief of the opposition Ok Babu referred to as the appointments ‘merciless’ and urged the federal government to assessment its choice.

‘Families of accused residing in penury’

The households of the accused within the Periya double homicide reside in penury. Peethambaran’s spouse Manjusha mentioned she had an aged mother-in-law and two kids to handle. “That is why I applied for the post of sweeper,” she mentioned.

She mentioned her household was being ostracised. “If a neighbour talks to me, others will question her. I am not included in the rural job scheme either,” she mentioned.

Chinchu and Baby have two kids every — aged between seven years and 11 years. “All of us are in the same situation,” she mentioned. Chinchu mentioned she nonetheless will get abusive cellphone calls. Last day, police arrested an individual from Payyannur for making abusive calls to Chinchu.
