Housing scheme for 250 extra Sri Jagannath temple servitors

PURI:  Apart from 400 homes in residences for homeless Sri Jagannath temple servitors underneath first part of ABADHA scheme, the temple administration has recognized land to construct homes for 250 extra servitors underneath the scheme within the second part. 

Speaking to mediapersons on Friday, temple administrator for growth AK Jena stated, the choice to begin the second part of housing was taken after a survey by Gopabandhu Choudhury  Institute for Socio Economic Studies, that revealing there are about 2,236 servitor households with a complete inhabitants of 9,558 servitors. Two to 3 households dwell in a small home with fundamental provisions as most are poor, the survey report said. 

Earlier, the temple managing physique had handed a funds to offer homes to homeless servitors which was authorised by the State authorities at Harchandi Sahi. The compound wall building has begun, knowledgeable Jena.
