Following HC orders, Odisha authorities draft checklist retains ZP chief seats in 10 districts unreserved

BHUBANESWAR: The State authorities on Friday re-notified the draft checklist of reservations for the publish of Zilla Parishad (ZP) presidents following the current route of the High Court to challenge recent draft notification on the reservation of seats. 

As per the notification issued by the Panchayati Raj division on Friday, ZP chief posts have been saved unreserved in 10 districts and reserved for scheduled tribes (ST) in seven districts and for scheduled caste (SC) in 5 districts. The ZP president publish has been saved reserved for ST candidate in Nabarangpur, Mayurbhanj and Sundargarh, reserved for ST girl in Kandhamal, Koraput, Malkangiri and Rayagada. 

Similarly, the chief publish has been reserved for SC candidate in Jagatsinghpur and Bhadrak, and for SC girl in Kendrapara, Boudh and Jajpur. Altogether 50 computer of seats (15 districts) have been booked for ladies candidates from totally different classes. The seats have been saved unreserved in Angul, Cuttack, Kalahandi, Keonjhar, Gajapati, Deogarh, Nayagarh, Bargarh, Balasore and Sonepur.
