Fisheries deal photos emerge, Minister Mercykutty washes fingers of it

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Reiterating his corruption fees in opposition to Fisheries Minister J Mercykutty Amma over a deep-sea fishing take care of a US-based firm, Opposition Leader Ramesh Chennithala on Saturday launched purported pictures of a gathering between the minister and representatives of the agency as proof to complement his allegations.

Responding to the allegation, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan mentioned neither the federal government nor any authorities division had signed such a contract. Officials with the Kerala Shipping and Inland Navigation Corporation (KSINC) signed the MoU with out his information, he mentioned.Meanwhile, accusing Chennithala of making an attempt to mislead the fishing group, Mercykutty mentioned the state can’t legally hand over rights of deep-sea fishing to non-public entities, as solely fishermen had been authorised to have interaction in it. I can’t be held accountable for some officer’s actions, she  mentioned.
