Cuttack cyber police recovers 800 SIM playing cards, 8 arrested

The Cyber Police in Cuttack has busted one other pre-activated SIM card racket and arrested eight individuals on this connection.

Cuttack: The Cyber Police in Cuttack has busted one other pre-activated SIM card racket and arrested eight individuals on this connection.

As per studies, round 800 SIM playing cards together with 311 pre-activated SIMs have been seized. It is price mentioning that, seven of the arrested accused are employees of a non-public telecom firm.

The seven accused hail from Puri district and police have seized 16 cell phones and Rs 2600 from their possession.

Earlier on June 8, 2023, STF arrested yet another accused within the above talked about case. Earlier three accused have been arrested on this case recognized as Pradyumna Kumar Sahoo.

Sahoo is 32 years of Mahitama village beneath Nuagaon village in Nayagarh district was arrested by STF on 07.06.2023. He is a graduate and had earlier labored as territory gross sales government in Idea and as Jio Point supervisor.

Now he’s working at Black buck, Fastag Company. He had provided/ bought greater than 500 pre-activated SIMs and 150+ pre-activated PayTM Wallets to Pathani Samanta Lenka who was arrested earlier on this case.
