Covishield 2nd dose for overseas returnees

BHUBANESWAR : Foreign returnees, who’ve taken the primary dose of Covid vaccine – Covishield or AstraZeneca outdoors the nation and returned to Odisha, can take the second dose of Covishield as per schedule within the State.

After the Ministry of Health made provisions within the CoWIN portal for registration of such beneficiaries for second dose vaccination, the Odisha authorities has requested district officers to vaccinate them in the event that they register on-line.

In a letter to all collectors and municipal commissioners, Additional Chief Secretary of Health PK Mohapatra has directed to manage the vaccine to the overseas returnees and situation vaccination certificates for a similar.

The district officers have been directed to tell the officers engaged within the vaccination programme to implement the order for the good thing about the residents who’ve already returned or need to return from the overseas international locations. Meanwhile, the State authorities has deliberate 1,302 periods after recent inventory of Covishield arrived right here.
