Minister Dr. Tekam bows to Veerangana Rani Durgavati

Scheduled and Tribe Development Minister Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam attended this system organized on the 459th sacrifice day of Veerangana Rani Durgavati at Canal Linking Road, Raipur at present. He paid homage by garlanding the statue of Veerangana Rani Durgavati. On this event, the Deputy Chairman of the Chhattisgarh State Scheduled Tribes Commission, Dr. Ms. Rajkumari Dewan, Member Mrs. Archana Porte, Patron of Sarva Adivasi Samaj Mr. B. PS Netam, Vice President Shri Anand Toppo and Secretary Shri KS. Many officers and members of Sarva Adivasi Samaj, Chhattisgarh Tribal Government Servants Association and Tribal Students Organization together with Dhruv had been current.
Minister Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam, whereas remembering the heroic story of Rani Durgavati, paid tribute to her by saluting her indomitable braveness and valor in this system organized on the event. He stated that on this present day, the heroic queen of the Gondwana kingdom, Rani Durgavati made her supreme sacrifice for the protection of the motherland. Dr. Tekam stated that Rani Durgavati is a well-known heroine of India, who turned the inheritor to the state of Gondwana. He dominated in Gondwana for about 15 years. Rani Durgavati is the heroine of our nation, who bought martyrdom after combating the Mughals to guard her kingdom.
Vice-Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Scheduled Tribes Commission, Dr. Ms. Rajkumari Dewan stated that the courageous queen Durgavati fought with the Mughal rulers and whereas not accepting their suzerainty, fought bravely and attained martyrdom. Archana Porte, a member of the State Scheduled Tribes Commission, stated that Rani Durgavati was married to the Gond king Dalpat Shah. After 4 years of marriage, her husband died premature. He dominated within the Gondwana area of Madhya Pradesh state as a protector by inserting his son Veer Narayan on the throne. Rani Durgavati bravely fought the Mughal military until her final breath to guard the motherland.
