Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel today inaugurated 7 newly constructed enclosures for wild animals at Nandanvan Jungsafari and Zoo in Nava Raipur from his residence office. The newly constructed seven enclosures of Nandanvan jungle safari include fox, jackal, chasinga, black deer, kotri, nilgai and hyena. With this, the total number of enclosures in the jungle safari there is currently 18. Forest Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar, Agriculture and Water Resources Minister Mr. Ravindra Choubey, Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Shishupal Sori, Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Chandradev Rai were present in the inaugural program organized through video conferencing.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel while inaugurating the new enclosures, appreciated the work being done by the Forest Department towards making Nandanvan Jungle Safari Ju Nava Raipur more attractive for tourists. He said that development with respect to environment and nature is our priority. The unique biodiversity of Chhattisgarh state is our identity. Conservation of wildlife is necessary to carry this identity forward. On this occasion, he told that the goal is to construct 37 enclosures in jungle safari to keep the wild animals in the environment as per their choice.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that in jungle safari Nava Raipur, enclosures for wild animals are constantly being constructed. Various enclosures constructed in the forest safari by the forest department will also help in conservation and promotion of biodiversity. Addressing the program, Forest Minister Mr. Akbar said that the forest safari and zoo have been constructed for the systematic management of wildlife and maintaining the natural environment. In this series, Nandanvan Jungle Safari and Ju Nava holds an important place in Raipur. This will promote the promotion and conservation of extinct wildlife species. At the same time, the common man and tourists will get a better chance to see various wildlife.
It is noteworthy that 11 enclosures were inaugurated by the Chief Minister Mr. Baghel in Jungle Safari Nava Raipur on 5 October 2019. These include Royal Tiger, Lion, Lepar, White Tiger, Tortoise, Hippopotamus, Gharial, Otter Tomcat, Bengal Monitor Lizard-Goh, Croco Dial and Forest Buffalo. The plantations of various species planted between 1978-80 in about 200 ha area along with the natural forest available at Nandanvan Jungle Safari and Zoo, Nava Raipur have developed into natural forest today. According to a survey in this supernatural area of ​​jungle safari, about 70 species of trees, 12 different species of wild animals, 18 species of animals as well as migratory birds of about 76 different species have their own special place in biodiversity. , Which is in use as an ideal habitat for wildlife.
