16 Naxalites surrendered in Dantewada, Chhattisgarh

Dantewada: 16 Naxalites have surrendered in Dantewada, Chhattisgarh. According to the information, sixteen Naxalites including three commander-level personnel surrendered before the Chhattisgarh police in Dantewada on Thursday.

Dantewada Superintendent of Police (SP) Abhishek Pallava said, “16 Naxalites have surrendered, three of whom have kept the bounty on their heads. Most of them are from western parts of Bastar district.” “Three of them are commander-level Naxalites and kept the bounty on their heads. There are two and four cases registered against all the Naxalites,” he said.

Naxalites used to kill villagers 

The SP of Dantewada further revealed that the surrendered Naxalites used to demolish the railway track and hit panchayat officials and villagers .
