Cellphone thief who focused attendants of sufferers in Odisha’s MKCG Medical College held

BERHAMPUR: Baidyanathpur police on Sunday arrested an individual who allegedly used to steal cellphones from attendants of sufferers in MKCG Medical College and Hospital right here. 

The accused was recognized as K Santosh Reddy of Bikrampur inside Gopalpur police limits. Berhampur sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) Bishnu Prasad Pati mentioned that Santosh used to go to the hospital on numerous pretexts and steal cellphones from gullible attendants of sufferers making the most of their unmindfulness.

On March 11, the accused met one Rameyya Reddy who was within the hospital for remedy of his youngster. After spending an hour with him, Santosh stole Rameyya’s cellphone and vanished. On Sunday, police raided Santosh’s home and apprehended him. At least 11 stolen cellphones have been recovered from his possession. During interrogation, Santosh informed police that he offered stolen cellphones to 1 Rabindra Satpathy. Police arrested Rabindra and recovered 13 telephones from him. Santosh and Rabindra have been produced in courtroom on the day.
