BJP chief crushed to loss of life over ‘highway rage’ in Mayurbhanj

BARIPADA: Rohit Kumar Pradhan, a BJP chief of Balasore was allegedly crushed to loss of life by three individuals over aberrant overtaking on Saturday evening. Pradhan, a local of Mansingh Bazaar beneath Town police limits, was the district observer of the BJP Youth wing.

The three accused – Lambodhar Behera and Bhagirathi Rout of Ambapichhula and Rabindra Arukh of Valiadiha, each villages beneath the Kaptipada police station in Mayurbhanj district – had been arrested on Sunday.

According to eyewitnesses, Pradhan had an altercation with the three motorcycle-borne individuals whereas on his approach to his father-in-law’s home at Nuasahi at round 10 pm. Driving in direction of Nuasahi via Nilagiri in his four-wheeler, Pradhan overtook the three individuals whereas crossing a highway close to Kaptipada city with out utilizing the automobile blinkers.
