Bhubaneswar: The Vigilance Department in Odisha arrested the Anganwadi Worker of Koradakanta in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday for allegedly amassing property disproportionate to her recognized sources of revenue. During this raid, 4 buildings together with one 4 storeyed constructing, one triple storeyed constructing and two double storeyed buildings at Bhubaneswar, 14 numbers of plots together with 10 plots at Bhubaneswar, three plots at Talakusuma, Jagatsinghpur and one plot at Balianta, Khordha, one 4 wheeler, three numbers of two wheelers, Insurance deposits over Rs.2.2 lakh, gold ornaments weighing roughly 212 grams price over Rs.6.36 lakh and different movable and immovable properties, all totalling to over Rs 4 crore had been unearthed throughout the home search.
It has been learnt that wage of the Anganwadi employee is Rs.7, 500 per thirty days. Further investigation is happening to determine the supply from which she may amass such big quantity of property whereas her wage is so much less.
