Beware Of KBC Lottery Fraud Calls! Odisha Man Falls Prey, Loses Rs 50,000

Sundergarh: A resident of Kisingsira village below Kutra police limits of Sundergarh district in Odisha has reportedly misplaced Rs 50,000 allegedly after falling prey to Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) lottery fraud on Thursday.
The sufferer who has been recognized as Sakund Nayak claimed that he obtained a telephone name yesterday from an unknown one that knowledgeable him that he would get Rs 25 lakh by way of KBC lottery.
Thinking that it was a faux name, Nayak stopped talking with the unknown man and didn’t pay extra consideration to it. However, someday later, he received a video name by way of his WhatsApp quantity.
The caller allegedly confirmed Nayak some amount of money to win his belief and mentioned to him that he would get the cash if he does what is alleged to him. Thinking that he would get the cash for certain, Nayak adopted all of the directions given to him by the caller.
Nayak’s telephone stopped working for a while as quickly as he clicked on a hyperlink on his telephone which was despatched to him by the caller. However, when the telephone began working someday later Nayak obtained a message which revealed that Rs 50,000 was deducted from his checking account.
Soon after realizing that he fell prey to cybercrime, Nayak filed a written criticism on the Kutra police station.
Meanwhile, the cops mentioned to have began an investigation into the matter.
