ALAPPUZHA: CPM chief and Kayamkulam MLA U Prathibha on Tuesday criticised “some ministers” who’re hesitant to attend the cellphone calls of even MLAs. Prathibha made the criticism in the course of the inauguration of the General Education Department’s ‘Salabhodhyanam’ (butterfly backyard) mission on the Government Town UP School, Kayamkulam, within the presence of General Education Minister V Sivankutty.

Prathibha mentioned that MLAs have been calling ministers to not focus on private issues. But many of the ministers don’t reply the calls or present the courtesy to return them. “I think a hundred times before placing a call as we know how busy the ministers are,” Prathibha mentioned. She then showered reward on Sivankutty.

Prathibha offended with minister from neighbouring district?

“Minister Sivankutty is an exception. He will call back once he notices a missed call. We are calling to discuss matters related to public and they should change their attitude,” Prathibha mentioned. According to sources, Prathibha is especially disturbed by the perspective of a minister who’s from the neighbouring district and had been an in depth colleague of her in the course of the earlier meeting.

Though she known as up the minister a number of instances for numerous functions, there was no response. It is learnt that there have been complaints from a number of quarters in opposition to the identical minister for not being obtainable on the cellphone even for pressing issues, it’s learnt.
