Afghan evacuation: Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan thanks PM Modi and Ministry of External Affairs

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Sunday mentioned the evacuation and repatriation of Indian nationals together with Keralites from Afghanistan by the Ministry of External Affairs was “commendable” and thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Vijayan, in a tweet, thanked the Ministry and Modi and mentioned the Keralites requiring help can contact Norka roots. India on Sunday introduced again almost 400 individuals, together with 329 of its nationals and two Afghan lawmakers, in three totally different flights as a part of its efforts to evacuate its residents from Kabul.

A complete of 168 individuals, together with 107 Indians and 23 Afghan Sikhs and Hindus, had been flown from Kabul to the Hindon airbase close to Delhi in a C-17 heavy-lift navy transport plane of the Indian Air Force (IAF). India carried out the evacuation missions in coordination with the US, Qatar, Tajikistan and a number of other different pleasant nations.
