83-year-old defeats Covid in Odisha after a 14-day combat

BERHAMPUR:  An 83-year-old man, Shyamghan Panda, recovered from Covid-19 after preventing the virus for 14 days on the Badagaon Covid Care Centre (CCC) in Kandhamal district.

As he walked out of the well being facility on Saturday after being discharged, docs and nurses congratulated him by providing flowers and sweets.

A resident of Baliguda, Panda was contaminated two weeks again and admitted to the hospital after his oxygen saturation dipped. 

“His recovery is a huge achievement for the hospital’s doctors and health staff who took utmost care of him”, stated Collector Dr. D Brunda.

In one other improvement, a Covid constructive lady delivered a wholesome child weighing 2.5 kg on Saturday. The lady of Chakapada block was admitted to the Brahmanpada CHC after she complained of labour ache. Her Covid take a look at was carried out and she or he was discovered constructive.

Hours later, she delivered her baby. Both mom and the new child have been shifted to the isolation ward of the CHC and below remark.
