In a saddening incident, a five-year-old youngster died allegedly after being administered a fallacious injection in Odisha’s Jajpur district in the present day.

Jajpur: In a saddening incident, a five-year-old youngster died allegedly after being administered a fallacious injection in Odisha’s Jajpur district in the present day.

One Surendra Mallick of Mugupada village underneath Dasharathpur police limits of the district took his son Omm Mallick to the medical store of 1 Mitu Pati at Mandarkhand Square within the locality and requested him to offer some medicines. However, Pati allegedly administered two injections to the boy following which Omm fell unconscious.

Soon, the members of the family rushed him to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH), the place medical doctors declared him lifeless on arrival.

Later, Surendra lodged a grievance on this regard with Dasharathpur police. Based on which police began an investigation into the matter.
