THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Unnecessary controversies won’t deter any improvement initiatives being undertaken by the LDF authorities, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has stated. He was asserting the completion of two.5 lakh homes constructed below the Life Mission right here on Thursday.

“In our society, we have people with varied mindsets. A section of people, who are against any sort of development, created unnecessary controversies,” Pinarayi stated. He was referring to the allegations raised by the Opposition concerning the development of 140 flats at Wadakkancherry sponsored by UAE-based Red Crescent. 

Pinarayi stated numerous individuals are gearing as much as unleash a slander marketing campaign towards the event tasks launched by the federal government. “The people of the state have already replied through the ballot that such false campaigns will not succeed,” he stated. 

“The government is not going to abandon any project that benefits people of the state fearing such slander campaigns or allegations,” Pinarayi underscored. 

The Chief Minister stated Rs 8,823 crore price of works have been accomplished as a part of the primary and second section of the Life Mission regardless of the COVID-19 pandemic affecting its progress. The third section of the Life Mission is progressing at a quick tempo and 85 housing complexes are anticipated to be accomplished by May. 

“Land has already been identified for construction of 85 housing complexes in the third phase. The work on 52 projects is progressing of which five will be completed within two months. The work on 32 projects is expected to be completed in May,” Pinarayi stated. 

Earlier within the day, Pinarayi visited a home accomplished below the second section of the Life Mission at Pappad close to Vattiyoorkavu. The Chief Minister attended the home warming ceremony and interacted with Prabha and her household who had been the beneficiaries of the home.
