T’PURAM: Anie Siva by no means thought she would turn into a police officer when she bought lemonade and ice lotions to vacationers at Varkala Sivagiri ashram ten years in the past.

31-year-old Anie joined as a probationary sub-inspector at Varkala police station on June 25.

Though she joined the police service as a civil officer in 2016, she sees this new accountability of a sub-inspector as an amazing achievement.

She stated “today I am the Sub-Inspector of Police at the same place where I lived ten years ago selling ice cream and lemonade for the Varkala Sivagiri pilgrimage. How can I avenge yesterdays bigger than this,” she wrote on Facebook.

Her put up has already been shared by many on social media platforms and has gone viral.

When The New Indian Express bought in contact with Anie, she was going by way of an inquest examination.

Raising a child on her personal, Annie recalled how her ‘life-partner’ left her when she was simply 19. She added that she could not return to her household as they have been in opposition to her marrying on the age of 18. She had a six month previous child when she returned house and was requested to dwell in a brief shed close to her grandmother’s home.

Shifting from one place to a different together with her son Shivasurya, Anie modified her life for good.

“I started selling curry powder and soap first. Later, I became an insurance agent. Then I used to deliver essential items to people at their homes by travelling on a motorcycle and I got the money to complete my degree in Sociology”, Anie added.

In 2014, she joined a coaching heart in Thiruvananthapuram to jot down the examination for sub-inspector put up and for lady police put up.

After finishing three years as a lady police officer, she wrote the SI choice check in 2019 and bought chosen.

After coaching for almost one and half years, she joined as a trainee sub-inspector.

She took to social media and introduced “It was an achievement indeed”.
