Former India batter Wasim Jaffer has stated that wicket-keeping batter Sanju Samson is due some runs and he gained’t get a greater pitch to attain forward of India’s fourth T20I of the five-match collection on the Central Broward Stadium in Lauderhill, Florida.

Speaking to ESPNcricinfo, Jaffer stated that Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill gained’t get a greater pitch to attain some runs. Samson has scored 19 runs in two innings on this collection.

“He (Samson) is due some runs. This is a high-scoring ground where the ball will come onto the bat and he will like batting here. Whether it’s him or Shubman Gill or Jaiswal, if you’re in poor form, you won’t get a better pitch than this. So they need to make the most of it,” stated Jaffer.

He went on to heap reward on West Indies skipper Rovamn Powell, saying captaincy has made a constructive affect on him. Powell has scored 109 runs in three matches towards India within the ongoing T20I collection.

“It seems like the responsibility of captaincy has had a positive impact on him. After Nicholas Pooran if there’s any batter who West Indies are dependent on, then its Rovmann Powell,” Jaffer added.

Jaffer named West Indies wicket-keeping batter Nicholas Pooran as their trump card, insisting that he shall be essential to their success within the fourth T20I. Pooran has registered scores of 41, 67 and 20 within the ongoing T20I collection towards India and has regarded probably the most harmful West Indies batter.

“Nicholas Pooran is their trump card. He is crucial to their chances of scoring big. Because other batters apart from Powell haven’t been able to step up and they need to do better,” stated Jaffer.

After dropping the opening two matches and successful the third T20I by seven wickets, India shall be seeking to stage the five-game collection in Florida.
