By India Today Web Desk: Former batter Wasim Jaffer reckoned that Suryakumar Yadav ought to be capable of play as many balls as attainable for India to place up scores within the vary of 180, 200 and above. On Sunday, November 20, the 32-year-old scored an unbeaten 111 off 51 balls with the assistance of 11 fours and 7 sixes in opposition to New Zealand.

India racked up a rating of 191 for the lack of six wickets after being put in to bat first. Thereafter, the Men in Blue bowled the Black Caps out for 126 in 18.5 overs and racked up a 65-run win at Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui.

Jaffer mentioned that the Mumbai-born Suryakumar makes a distinction of 20-30 runs to the eventual scores when he will get going.

“It does make a difference when Suryakumar bats one position higher. It’s a tricky one for India because Virat bats there. When you select the Indian batters, the first name you would put there at this point in time is Suryakumar. You want him to play as many balls as possible and when he does that, you know what he can do,” Jaffer was quoted as saying to ESPNcricinfo.

Suryakumar scored his fifty off 32 balls, after which he pressed the accelerator. He batted till the very finish and made positive that India set an enormous rating for the Kiwis to chase down.

“Most of the time, it looks like India will score 150s, 160s and Suryakumar makes a difference, taking scores of 180-200. He is the difference among all the batters and when he plays, sometimes you feel that it’s beyond the opposition at times.

“Today was one such day. When he bats like that, it’s a nightmare for a captain to set a field for bowlers to bowl because he accesses all parts of the ground,” Jaffer added.

India have taken a 1-0 lead within the three-match collection and might’t lose the collection from right here on. The first T20I at Sky Stadium in Wellington couldn’t happen because of relentless rain.

The third and last T20I of the collection is ready to happen on Tuesday, November 22 at McLean Park in Napier.
