PSG supervisor Christophe Galtier has stated the workforce is hoping this would be the 12 months they get their arms on the UEFA Champions League trophy. The star-studded PSG workforce is ready to lock horns with Juventus of their remaining group-stage match on the Juventus stadium.

By India Today Web Desk: PSG supervisor Christophe Galtier has stated the workforce is hoping this would be the 12 months they get their arms on the UEFA Champions League trophy. The star-studded PSG workforce is ready to lock horns with Juventus of their remaining group-stage match on the Juventus stadium.

Speaking forward of their match towards Juventus, Galtier stated he hopes PSG can win the Champions League this season, insisting that there are a whole lot of expectations from them.

“Yes, there are a lot of expectations around Paris Saint-Germain, in France, and even in Europe. It is normal when you see the names in our squad. We have world-class players with a lot of experience. Unfortunately, we have never won this prestigious trophy, which is so difficult to win and at times you see crazy games that can be turned upside down in a moment. PSG could be close to winning, we hope this is our year,” stated Galtier.

The 56-year-old stated the workforce and administration are attempting to do every part to information PSG to their maiden UEFA Champions League triumph.

“But a few seasons ago, we were not near there. Last season we only reached the round of 16. But there are obviously a lot of hopes and a lot of expectations for this season. I know that our president and the management team are trying to do everything so that we can one day win this magnificent trophy,” Galtier added.

The Frenchman stated PSG is concentrated on topping their group and won’t take Juventus evenly, though they’ve did not qualify for the spherical of 16.

“Of course it’s much more pleasant to come to the last game as we already qualified. Qualification for the Round of 16 was an obligation for us. Being top of the group will be very important, especially when it comes to the draw. It is a fundamental objective and we are concentrated on that. We won’t forget also that Juventus, albeit eliminated, need to qualify for the Europa League. They will fight tooth and nail to achieve this target, as they have history and pride. We are here to win and must fight for the group leadership,” stated Galtier.

PSG at the moment sit atop their group within the Champions League with 11 factors from 5 video games however are tied on factors with second-placed SL Benfica.
