Tim David may step for Mumbai Indians and do what Kieron Pollard was doing: Hanuma Vihari

India batter Hanuma Vihari believes that Australian all-rounder Tim David may step for Mumbai Indians and carry out the function which Kieron Pollard was doing.

By India Today Web Desk: India batter Hanuma Vihari believes will probably be tough for Mumbai Indians to exchange T20 legend Kieron Pollard, who introduced his retirement from the Indian Premier League on Tuesday, November 15.

Pollard, arguably an IPL legend, introduced his retirement from the league. “Once a MI, always a MI,” mentioned the Trinidadian, who was acquired by the Mumbai Indians in a secret bidding struggle throughout the IPL 2009 public sale.

The services he has done for Mumbai Indians, not just as a finisher, but as a fielder and as a leader as well. Five titles with a single team and he has played for one team throughout his career. So that shows the love he had for Mumbai and what Mumbai meant to him. I think it is going to be a big task to replace him. One good thing is that he is still in the dugout giving his guidance,” Hanuma Vihari mentioned whereas talking on JioCinema.

Vihari feels Australia all-rounder Tim David may step up and do the function which Kieron Pollard was doing for Mumbai.

“One thing Mumbai Indians were quite smart about last year was that they picked Tim David as a future replacement for Kieron Pollard. I feel this year Tim David could step up and do the role which Kieron Pollard was doing,” Vihari added.

Tim David made his IPL debut in 2021 for Royal Challengers Bangalore, showing in a single sport. However, in 2022, the batter was given the chance to showcase his expertise and abilities by enjoying for MI. David, recognized for pitching sensational innings in the midst of the order, may present MI with stability within the coming season.

In the earlier version, the franchise most well-liked David over Pollard by giving him an opportunity in the previous few matches, and the teenager didn’t disappoint the franchise by delivering some fast knocks together with his bat.
