Former Indian pacer S Sreesanth on Monday performed his first aggressive cricket in seven years, returning in fashion within the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021. He was a part of Kerala’s sport towards Puducherry in Mumbai and celebrated his return with a wicket of batsman Fabid Ahmed, whom he had dismissed seven years again in his first T20 hat-trick. 
He conceded 9 runs in his first over after Kerala have been put to bowl first, however returned for his second to take away the opener by getting the ball to swing away from the batsman, therefore clicking the bails on the highest of off stump. He finally completed with 1 for 29.

Kerala had gained the match by six wickets, chasing down the goal of 137 with 10 balls to spare.
The Board of Contol for Cricket in India (BCCI) had imposed a ban on Sreesanth alongside together with his Rajasthan Royals teammates Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan in 2013 for his or her alleged involvement within the IPL spot-fixing scandal. 
The lifelong ban was nevertheless diminished to seven years in 2019 after which in December he was added to the Kerala squad for the pre-season marketing campaign.
