His primary attention is on the forthcoming IPL, where he will be leading Punjab Kings for the first time as captain. Dhawan just got back from a 10-day training camp at Bengaluru’s National Cricket Academy. He will be in Mohali for a Punjab Kings pre-IPL camp in another week.

“My IPL preparation is occurring properly. I used to be in Bangalore for 10 days. The focus was on health. With the IPL developing, I’ll be a part of the camp in Mohali from February 24 after which we regroup once more afterward and get going.

“I am in a very good state of mind and looking forward to leading from the front,” he mentioned.
