By India Today Web Desk: Former all-rounder Shahid Afridi mentioned that he was sad with Mohammad Amir’s on-field behaviour within the ongoing version of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Amir was fired up when the Karachi Kings confronted Babar Azam’s Peshawar Zalmi in Match No.4 on Thursday on the National Stadium in Karachi.

Amir bought into an altercation with rookie batter Hassan Nawaz. Thereafter, he threw the ball in anger at Babar, displaying his anger and frustration. In the supply previous to that, Babar hit Amir off his pads for a boundary in his knock.

Afridi mentioned that he had a chat with Amir, telling him what went improper within the match.

I told Amir, ‘what do you want?’ You have gained so much respect, you faced a blot on your reputation and from there, you made a return. You got a new life, in a way. What are you even trying to do?” Afridi was quoted as saying on Samaa TV.

Afridi, who performed for Peshawar Zalmi within the PSL 2023 exhibition match towards Quetta Gladiators, reckoned that there’s no hurt on being aggressive, however one ought to be in management.

“Ye koi tareeka hai? (Is this the way to play?) There are juniors around you, you are using bad words. There are fans who are disheartened to see that. Even we have used such words and, sometimes, the camera used to catch us. There are families, kids watching you on television. Aggression is fine, but keep it under control,” he acknowledged.
