“The medical staff at the Bundaberg Hospital were wonderful. We are all shocked. It’s terrible.”

The report added that the medical doctors saved Marsh’s life after the cricketer reached there in time.

Regarded as one in all Australia’s best wicketkeepers, Marsh retired in 1984 with a then-world document tally of 355 dismissals. He is third on Australia’s all-time dismissals listing behind Adam Gilchrist (416) and Ian Healy (395).

Marsh later grew to become a selector for Australia’s nationwide groups earlier than retiring from the function in 2016.

Expressing his concern, Cricket Australia chief Nick Hockley wished the perfect for the legendary cricketer.
