Rashid Khan returns to Afghanistan squad for ODI collection vs Bangladesh, Noor Ahmad misses out

By India Today Sports Desk: Rashid Khan returned to the Afghanistan squad on Sunday for the three-match ODI collection towards Bangladesh, which begins on July 5 in Chattogram, after being rested for the group’s one-off Test in Mirpur to prioritise his long-term health.

Izharulhaq Naveed, a fellow leg-spinner who rose to prominence in Australia’s Big Bash League final season, has been given his first ODI call-up. However, left-arm wrist-spinner Noor Ahmad, who was in Afghanistan’s squad for the ODI collection towards Sri Lanka earlier this month, isn’t included. Shahidullah, Zia-ur-Rehman, Wafadar Moment, Mohammad Saleem, and Sayed Shirzad are among the many newcomers to Afghanistan’s ODI squad.

The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) additionally introduced ten gamers who will function backups for the group in future ODIs and the World Cup, which might be held in India in October-November.
