By India Today Web Desk: Manchester United supervisor Erik Ten Hag has stated that the membership is way from the place it must be as he prepares for the return of membership soccer in England. Manchester United are set to face Burnley within the third spherical of the EFL Cup on December 22.

Speaking to the press forward of their tie in opposition to Burnley, Ten Hag stated he knew it’d be a tough undertaking, insisting that Manchester United will not be the place it must be.

“I knew it would be a difficult project. Manchester United was not in the circumstances that you would expect of them. I think now we’re in the right direction but we’re far away from where we need to be,” stated Ten Hag.

The Dutchman stated that he’s proud of the performances of his gamers however desires to maintain progress going on the membership.

“I am happy with the way the players perform and the fact they play as a team with the right spirit and the right mentality. But there is always a battle to keep that progress going. It means keeping the high standards,” Ten Hag added.

The former Ajax coach stated he thinks satisfaction makes one lazy, including that it’s as much as him to set a great instance on the membership.

“I always say, satisfaction makes you lazy. If you are too satisfied with yourself and the team, you will not maintain those high standards. It’s up to me to control that and set a good example,” stated Ten Hag.

Recently, Manchester United triggered contract extensions for 4 of their first-team gamers. Forward Marcus Rashford, left-back Luke Shaw, right-back Diogo Dalot and midfielder Fred have had their contracts prolonged until the tip of the 2023-24 season.

Manchester United will restart their Premier League season on December 27 after they welcome Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford. But earlier than that, the Red Devils will tackle Burnley within the fourth spherical of the EFL Cup on December 22.
