By Dipesh D. Tripathi: Former cricketer Vinod Kambli has been requested to document his assertion on the police station after his spouse Andrea Hewitt made accusations of home violence towards the participant.

Mumbai Police sources advised India Today that Bandra Police has gone to offer discover of Section 41A of CrPC to Vinod Kambli. The police have requested him to come back to the police station in a day or two to document his assertion. The police presently know one side of the incident which Vinod Kambli’s spouse has advised the police. Police will examine Vinod Kambli’s spouse’s allegations and associated questions must be requested to Kambli

Mumbai Police have registered an FIR towards former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli for allegedly assaulting and abusing his spouse in an inebriated state at his house in suburban Bandra, an official confirmed to India Today mentioned on Sunday.

No arrest has been made thus far in reference to the alleged incident which befell on Friday, he mentioned.

Kambli’s spouse Andrea in her police criticism alleged that he threw the deal with of a cooking pan at her as a consequence of which she suffered a head damage, the official from Bandra police station mentioned.

The incident befell between 1 pm and 1.30 pm on Friday when Kambli reached his flat allegedly drunk and began abusing his spouse, he mentioned.

Their 12-year-old son, who was current at the moment, intervened within the battle, however Kambli went into the kitchen, introduced the deal with of a damaged frying pan and allegedly threw it on his spouse as a consequence of which she obtained injured, the official mentioned quoting the criticism.

Kambli’s spouse later went to the Bhabha Hospital for a medical examination.

Based on her criticism, the Bandra police on Friday registered the FIR towards Kambli beneath Indian Penal Code Sections 324 (voluntarily inflicting damage by harmful weapons) and 504 (intentional insult with intent to impress breach of peace), the official mentioned.

An investigation is on into the case, he added.
