Mohamed Salah on being Liverpool’s ninth highest scorer of all time: It is one thing I’m pleased with

Mohamed Salah mentioned that he’s proud to be within the prime 10 listing of Liverpool’s highest scorers of all time. The Egyptian ahead sits in ninth place with a complete of 156 targets in his 254 appearances for the Premier League membership.

Ian Rush leads the chart with 346 targets, adopted by Roger Hunt, Gordon Hodgson, Billy Liddell, Steven Gerrard, Robbie Fowler, Kenny Dalglish, Michael Owen, Mohamed Salah and Harry Chambers.

The 30-year-old Salah, who joined Liverpool in 2017, on July 1 signed a brand new long-term contract with the membership. He was one of many key members of the membership’s run final season, profitable the FA and Carabao Cups and reaching the Champions League closing.

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool missed out on Premier League glory after falling quick by one level to eventual champions Manchester City.

“It’s great to see yourself as the ninth-highest top goalscorer for the club, especially when you do it in a short time,” Salah informed Liverpoolfc.com.

“It’s something great and I think, as I’ve said many times before, the most important thing is to win trophies. But I think when you score goals and help the team to win games, that’s also what brings trophies. It’s something I’m proud of.”

Salah reached the 31-goal mark over the past marketing campaign and was additionally named the FWA Footballer of the Year and PFA Players’ Player of the Year.

Talking about shedding the Champions League closing to Real Madrid and lacking out on the Premier League title, Salah mentioned: “We had some disappointments, but this is football.

“I’ve loved my soccer right here on the membership and, hopefully, I’ll proceed to get pleasure from it and win many trophies.”
