1 min read

Ace Indian judoka Sushila Devi has certified for the Tokyo Olympics by way of the continental quota, the game’s worldwide federation confirmed on Friday.
Sushila, who competes within the 48kg class, has 989 factors which places her at seventh spot within the Asian checklist, the International Judo Federation stated.
The continental quotas are allotted primarily based on a judoka’s rating within the area. Asia has 10 quota slots.
This would be the 26-year-old’s first participation on the Olympics. Only one athlete per NOC (National Olympic Committee) per division can qualify. Each NOC is entitled to just one spot by way of the continental quota.
Avtar Singh (90kg) was the lone Indian judoka to compete on the 2016 Rio Olympics.
