By India Today Sports Desk: India’s star off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin got here up with a hilarious social media response to Cheteshwar Pujara’s bowling within the fourth India-Australia Test in Ahmedabad. Notably, India skipper Rohit Sharma launched Cheteshwar Pujara into the bowling assault, which was a uncommon sight. It was the ultimate overs of the fourth Test match in Ahmedabad on Day 5, and the match was clearly headed for a draw.

Ashwin tweeted an image of Pujara bowling within the Ahmedabad Test and wrote: “Main kya karu? Job chod du?” It is a reference to a viral meme from a stand-up video by comic Abhishek Upamanyu which interprets to – “What should I do? Leave my job?”.

Pujara did not waste any time in responding to Ashwin’s tweet, thanking him for batting forward of him in Nagpur, a pitch that was accused by a piece of ex-Australian gamers and their media of being doctored by India to assist spinners. “Nahi. This was just a quick note to thank you for going 1 down in Nagpur “, Pujara posted on Twitter.

As a nightwatchman, Ashwin walked out to bat and scored 23 off 62 balls, whereas Pujara was dismissed for 7. (14). Ashwin didn’t cease there and responded to Pujara with one other tweet. “Your intent is appreciated, but I’m not sure how this is retaliation,” he wrote.

Ashwin shared the Player of the Series award with teammate Ravindra Jadeja. “It’s been a great journey together. We wouldn’t be the same without each other. He gives me a lot of freedom to be creative on the field with the ball. Credit to him. I thought he bowled beautifully in the Delhi Test. That’s why we’re here,” Ashwin stated on the post-match presentation.
