By India Today Web Desk: Former South Africa captain AB de Villiers has showered reward on England’s Ben Stokes, saying he was undervalued and underpaid within the not too long ago concluded IPL mini-auction. Chennai Superkings splurged Rs 16.25 crore on the England Test captain on the mini-auction in Kochi.

Speaking on JioCinema, de Villiers mentioned CSK is a fortunate crew to have Stokes amongst their ranks, including that he brings expertise with each bat and ball within the subject.

“Yaa lucky team (CSK). Don’t think there’s any amount of money for Ben Stokes in my opinion. An unbelievable player, he is a leader, his experience with both bat and ball in the field,” mentioned de Villiers.

The former Royal Challengers Bangalore batter mentioned Stokes is a bit undervalued and underpaid in his opinion, insisting that he’s going to convey rather a lot to the get together.

“He is going to win you games in cricket and that’s what you want. I actually think he is a bit undervalued, in my opinion, and underpaid. He is going to bring a lot to the party,” de Villiers added.

Former England captain Eoin Morgan mentioned Stokes is a steal at Rs 16.25 crore, saying the expertise that he brings underneath strain scenario is invaluable.

“Whatever it takes to get Ben Stokes, get Ben Stokes. He is that big game player.
