IPL 2021: COVID-19 ‘negative’ report wanted to attend matches at Wankhede

The Mumbai Cricket Association has requested its Apex Council members to provide a COVID-19 unfavorable certificates in an effort to enter the Wankhede stadium, which can host 10 matches of the 14th version of the Indian Premier League.
The first sport on the iconic stadium in South Mumbai shall be held on Saturday night when Chennai Super Kings sq. off with Rishabh Pant-led Delhi Capitals.
“Dear Apex Council members. As per BCCI’s protocol, all the officials who would be attending the IPL 2021 matches at Wankhede Stadium are required to produce a Negative report of RT-PCR test conducted within 48 hours of the matchday,” MCA secretary Sanjay Naik, wrote in a word to all of the members.
“The assessments are obligatory even for many who have been vaccinated. The report must be produced on the time of entry to the stadium on every match day.
“Hence you are requested to get yourself tested at your end and carry the negative report to the stadium on match day.”
In the build-up to the IPL, 10 groundsmen on the Wankhede stadium had examined optimistic for COVID, however most of them had later examined unfavorable.
