India’s Shubi Gupta, Charvi emerge champs in U-12 and U-8 part

India’s Shubi Gupta and A Charvi emerged winners within the ladies under-12 and under-8 sections respectively within the FIDE World Cadets Chess Championship .

Shubhi Gupta, who hails from Ghaziabad, scored 8.5 factors from 11 rounds to assert the highest prize within the under-12 occasion. In the ladies under-8 part, Charvi completed first with 9.5 factors from 11 rounds. Charvi was trailing Bodhana Sivanandan (England), who completed second for the final three rounds, however managed to catch and overtake her, due to a greater tie-break rating after each ended up with 9.5 factors.

India’s Safin Safarullakhan claimed a bronze medal within the under-8 class with 9 factors. The Kerala boy ended up half a degree behind France’s Marc Llari and Russian Sav Shogdzhiev Roman, who completed first and second respectively after the tie-breaks.
