The former India cricketer additionally showered reward on Mohammed Siraj, saying it’s very heartening to see the quantity of effort he places into his bowling.

“Very heartening to see how he has bowled, especially when you know that you’re going to bowl on a fat wicket. The amount of effort that he has put, speaks a lot about his character and the attitude he carries in the game. And you see that every day, every Test match he has played,” stated Mhambrey.

He added that Siraj created wicket-taking alternatives for India all through the match, even on a flat wicket.

“From a coaching perspective, it’s very heartening to see because he gives you that opportunity to pick up wickets for the team, and that’s what he’s done. Even on a flat wicket, he has picked up wickets for us. Even in the second innings, he did create opportunities using the reverse swing as well,” Mhambrey added.
