‘Have taken the bullet for 7 years’: Ravi Shastri on stepping down as coach

Former Indian Cricketer Ravi Shastri has spoken to Arnab Goswami of Republic TV after stepping down from his function as Team India’s head coach. In the interview, Shastri gave his opinions on varied matters regarding his tenure as the top coach of the Indian group and talked concerning the job satisfaction regardless of criticisms and fixed public scrutiny.

According to Shastri, the Indian group underneath his steering had over-achieved when it comes to achievements and that he was leaving as a happy coach. Ravi Shastri mentioned that he was very relieved. He additionally mentioned that it was “unreal” for the group to have achieved the issues they did. He additionally mentioned that he believes the group had ‘over-achieved ‘.

Many in the media didn’t know the potential of this team. I said that this was the greatest team and knew what I said and they lived up to it. They called my statements bold and bombastic. I have taken the bullet for 7 years”.
Shastri additionally mentioned that the Indian group was “timid” throughout the match versus New Zealand and that Pakistan had performed “outstandingly well” to beat India on the T20 World Cup.
Notably, this was Ravi Shastri’s fourth spell with the nationwide group, having served earlier because the Cricket Manager, Team Director and head coach on varied events. His second time period started in 2019 and ended with India crashing out of the T20 World Cup within the Super 12 stage of the event.
