By India Today Web Desk: India captain Hardik Pandya confronted the wrath of followers after Prithvi Shaw didn’t get an opportunity to play within the second T20I towards New Zealand on Sunday, January 29 on the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

Shaw was earlier picked within the T20I squad after his stupendous efficiency on the home stage. The right-hander scored a triple-century within the Ranji Trophy and made heads flip. Shaw hasn’t donned the nationwide colors since India’s tour of Sri Lanka again in July 2021.

India misplaced the primary T20I by 27 runs and will likely be seeking to make a comeback within the collection in Lucknow. During the toss, Hardik mentioned that the one change India made for the match was bringing in leg-spin bowler Yuzvendra Chahal for quick bowler Umran Malik.

It meant that Chahal and Kuldeep acquired to play in an XI after fairly a while. India haven’t misplaced a T20I collection at residence for practically 4 years. But after conceding a 1-0 result in the Black Caps, the Men in Blue are in peril of dropping one.

Fans, within the meantime, bashed skipper Hardik and head coach Rahul Dravid for not selecting the right-handed Shaw within the eleven.
