Former Newcastle winger Christian Atsu pulled alive from Turkey earthquake rubble

Ghana worldwide winger Christian Atsu has been discovered alive after being buried underneath rubble within the earthquake that hit Turkey, the vice chairman of his membership Hatayspor informed media on Tuesday.

Atsu, who performs for Hatayspor, was reported lacking in Turkey’s Hatay province following the 7.8 magnitude quake that introduced down hundreds of buildings, killing some 5,000 individuals, in a number of Turkish and Syrian cities on Monday.

“Christian Atsu was pulled out injured. Our sporting director, Taner Savut, is unfortunately still under the rubble,” membership vice chairman Mustafa Ozak informed Radyo Gol.

Atsu, 31, performed within the Premier League for Newcastle United and Everton, on mortgage from Chelsea, and joined Hatayspor in September. He was final chosen to play for Ghana in 2019, however has not formally retired from worldwide soccer.

Ozat informed BeIN Sports on Monday a number of gamers and officers had been rescued from the rubble.
